چکیده مقاله:

The rapid agricultural and industrial development is producing pollution of heavy metal ionsbecause of their toxicity for humans and detrimental effects on the environment and ecology[۱].Accordingly, removing heavy metal ions from water is a particularly significant issue beforethey are released into the environment. in recent years Metal-Organic Frameworks have beenregarded as remarkable candidates for the adsorptive removal of heavy metal ions because oftheir amazing attributes such as high surface areas, and designable chemical functionalization ofpore surfaces [۲].In this work, a mixed-linker MOF strategy was chosen to show proof of thisconcept in accessing more active sites and preparing some defects in MOF structures to improvethe adsorption efficiency of MOF-۵ for heavy metal ion removal from water. a novel nitrofunctionalized pyrazole dicarboxylic linker (۴-nitro-۳,۵-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid,PZDC-NO۲ )as a second ligand and benzene-۱,۴-dicarboxylate (H۲BDC) was added to form a new mixedligandMOF material (MOF-۵ (PZDC-NO۲)), under facile solvothermal synthesis, which wascharacterized by SEM, EDX, XRD, BET, and FTIR[۳].The new porous MOF was tested for theadsorption of heavy metal ions and showed an improved adsorption capacity compared to MOF-۵ and many other standard adsorbents.
