چکیده مقاله:

Two–dimensional (۲D) materials are widely attractive for applicaiton in next–generationnanoelectronic devices. Transition metal disulfides MS۲ (M = Mo, Ti, W, and V) constitute animportant class of inorganic layered compounds. Due to the unique properties, MS۲ nanostructureswith sheet–like morphology have been emerging as new potential materials for severalapplications such as catalysis, transistors, hydrogen storage, solid lubricants, Li–ion batteries, anddouble–layer capacitors. Bulk MoS۲ is an indirect semiconductor with a bandgap of ۱.۲ eV,whereas single–layer MoS۲ is semiconducting with a direct bandgap of ۱.۸ eV. Monolayer MoS۲could complement graphene in the applications that require thin transparent semiconductors, suchas optoelectronics and energy harvesting. Recently, considerable efforts have been paid to thesynthesis of these materials on a stable nanometer scale [۱-۵].In the present study, we describe asolvothermal route to synthesize MoS۲ with a new precusor for source of sulfur. The organicsolvents can adhere to the surfaces of MoS۲, leading to the preparation of MoS۲ nanosheets withcontrollable morphologies. The effect of the solvents on the growth and microstructures of thefinal products was also investigated. The synthesized molybdenum disulfide was used asphotocatalyst for degredation of some organic pollutants
