چکیده مقاله:

This systematic review explores the intersection of building design and the needs of the elderly population. With the rise in life expectancy and the expansion of the elderly demographic, it is crucial to understand and meet their unique housing requirements. This study examines ۵۶ documents from the Scopus database and ۴ articles from Google Scholar, focusing on the keywords "building design" and "elderly". The review reveals that the majority of the content comprises research articles (۵۱%), followed by conference articles (۲۷%) and review articles (۱۶%). The study also highlights the importance of public policies in managing the elderly population and ensuring their safety and protection. The findings underscore the need for more research in this field, particularly given the emotional distress experienced by elderly individuals when faced with relocation. The review concludes that building design for the elderly is not just about physical comfort but also about providing a sense of meaning, security, and belonging.
