چکیده مقاله:
Background: Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancertypes that occurs in the prostate gland. Although many typesgrow slowly and are confined to the prostate gland, where theymay not cause serious harm, other types are aggressive and canspread rapidly. Needless to say, that early detection providespatients with the chance to be treated successfully. Since theexisting diagnostic methods, including the PSA test and Digitalrectal examination (DRE), do not have sufficient accuracy andsensitivity, it seems useful to introduce precise molecular methodsbased on the knowledge of the genes involved in the path of carcinogenesis. Methods and Results: First, to identify prostate cancer genes, microarray data (GSE۲۰۰۸۷۹) with ۱۳۷ samples were analyzed. After identifying the genes that had been upregulated (such asPCA۳, ERG, CRISP۳) and the ones that had been downregulated(such as SCGB۱A۱, VSNL۱, KRT۱۳), their interactionwith microRNAs was checked by the mirDB website and thegene-miRNAs interaction network was drawn with Cityscapesoftware. Conclusion: Identifying the genes involved in prostate cancerhelps to introduce appropriate diagnostic and treatment methods.
