چکیده مقاله:

Background: Cancer is a pernicious threat caused by the uncontrolledgrowth of cells. This disorder has become the mostimportant issue in human health. Despite it is not a contagiousdisease but its rate of affliction increased stormy in recent years. On the other hand, control, and treatment of this progressivedisorder is too hard; by considering all of the suggested and applicated methods for treatment, we should admit that cancer hasdefeated humans. In this situation, bacteria are our heroes andour best way to treat cancer through their enzymic functions.Materials and Methods: To prepare the present paper, we havefollowed the PRISMA model. Searches have been applied tomedical papers databases (e.g., PubMed, and Scopus) by usingspecific keywords: “Cancer”, “bacterial therapy”, “Bacteriocins”,and “Anticancer bacteria”.Results: Recent studies demonstrate to us some species ofbacteria are able to combat cancer and destroy the establishedtumor. Numerous researches on bacterial therapy of cancer describethat Clostridia, Shigella, Lactococcus, Bifidobacteria,Listeria, Salmonella, Vibrio, klebsiella, and Escherichia colibacteria are able to destroy and control cancer cells (CCs). Extracellularand intracellular bacteria can be responsible for somegenetic and cellular changes in humans for their toxic behavior. Conclusion: Bacteria are viable microorganisms, so they cansynthesize and secrete some products with biodegradable featureand contain CC-specific toxicities enzymes known as“Bacteriocins”. Bacteriocins are ribosomal synthesized antibacterialpeptides secreted by Gram-positive and Gram-negativebacteria. The membrane of CCs is negative-charged, so itis a better destination than normal cells for cationic peptides. There are different mechanisms of action, for example, Colicinsare one type of bacteriocins, that secreted by E. coli. Colicinshave an inhibitory effect on CC-lines by generating pores in theplasma membrane, so active apoptosis, and stop the cell cyclein G۱.
