چکیده مقاله:

Breast cancer is the most common adenocarcinoma in womenand the second most common cancer after lung cancer. Improperlifestyle and genetic factors have increased the prevalence ofcancer, including breast cancer. Due to the prevalence of thisdisease, the demand for progress in diagnostic and treatmentmethods that can completely cure breast tumors has increased.But treatments such as chemotherapy have disadvantages becausethey target the DNA of cells, causing damage to cells withhigh dividing ability, such as bone marrow, hair follicles, andthe lining of the digestive tract. During chemotherapy, the qualityof life of the patients decreases and it causes discontinuationof the treatment by the patients, which leads to drug resistance.Natural plant products as anticancer agents have had favorableResults: Plants are so important due to their antioxidant andanti-inflammatory properties, the ability to modulate the immunesystem, prevent the proliferation of cancer cells, prevent the side effects of chemotherapy, and suppress drug resistance.Plants such as Ginseng, Garlic, Beans, Black Cohosh, CamelliaSinenis, Arctium, Flaxseed, Nigella sativa,… are among the effectiveplants in the treatment of breast cancer. The purpose ofthis review article is to investigate the effective plants againstbreast cancer. For this purpose, Google Scholar and ScienceDirect websites were used. According to the obtained information,the effect of the plants expressed in this study is throughthe inhibition of cell proliferation, metastasis, apoptosis, etc.By regulating intracellular signals such as vascular endothelialgrowth factor, these plants prevent the development of breastcancer, and sometimes they increase their effectiveness whenused simultaneously with chemotherapy
