Background: Incomplete knowledge of the molecular basisof colorectal cancer, with subsequent limitations in early diagnosisand effective treatment, has contributed to this formof malignancy becoming the second most common cause ofcancer-related death worldwide.Materials and Methods: Withthe advances in high-throughput profiling techniques and theavailability of public data sets such as The Cancer Genome AtlasProgram (TCGA), a broad range of coding transcripts havebeen profiled and their underlying modes of action have beenmapped. Mir-۶۷۵-۵p supports hypoxia-induced drug resistancein hsa-miR-۶۷۵-۵p a significant increase in expression in thetumor tissue of colon cancer. The regulation of many pathwaysin cell biology is regulated by miRNAs. Obtaining miRNA targetgenes is effective for the negative regulation of these pathwaysand can also help to understand the regulatory mechanismand gene therapy of cancer. In this project, After miRNA targetgene prediction by mirwalk database, we analyzed TCGARNA-seq data and predicted gene expression patterns. Results:The results showed that PDLIM۵ with a high score targetedby hsa-miR-۶۷۵-۵p. Also, the results of TCGA data analysisshowed that the expression level of this gene in colon cancertumor tissue was significantly reduced.Conclusion: Predictionsshow that increasing the expression of hsa-miR-۶۷۵-۵p causesa decrease in PDLIM۵ expression in colon cancer. It is alsopredicted that the decrease in the expression of PDLIM۵, inaddition to the role of a biomarker in the diagnosis of coloncancer, can be a factor in the development of colon cancer andthe activation of the pathway
