چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Brain tumor is rare but a serious life- risk andmakes challenges in determining risk factors in the population..Due to their protected location in the brain, these tumors areinherently difficult to treat, as treatment options have potentiallasting complications for patients and incomplete tumor cure .One of the gene involved in this disease is the EGR۱ gene locatedon chromosome number۵ . In this article ,we investigatethe effects of EGR۱ on brain cancer.Materials and Methods: GSE۱۶۵۸۱۳ Microarray dataset wasanalyzed using GEO۲R online software . The gene expressionchanges at the Gepia۲ site were investigated and their correlationwith other genes was calculated. The survival of the patientswas measured at Gepia۲ website. The analysis of Snpsin the ۳'UTR regions was performed at miRNASNP site andmiRNA-mRNA introduction by miRWalk online database.Result: Based on microarray analysis, EGR۱ is significantlyoverexpressed in brain cancer patients compared to controls(logFC: ۲.۳۹۱۳۳۸۸ , adj. P. Value: ۱.۰۹E-۱۰ ). Based the analysisof the survival graph, we observed that the survival of patientsis reduced influenced by the down regulation of gene ,This gene has interaction with the EMPK gene, and both have apositive correlation. Analysis of the interaction of miRNA andRNA hsa-miR-۶۸۰۵-۳p have significant interaction. Conclusion: Mir-۶۸۰۵-۳p regulates the expression level ofEGR۱ in the brain cancer patients . EGR۱ is a potential diagnosticbiomarker with the up-regulation in the brain cancersamples.
