چکیده مقاله:
To address issues such as environmental concerns and energy insecurity, the deploymentof renewable energy sources becomes imperative. It is vital to enhance the utilization ofenvironmentally friendly energy sources and to prevent reliance on fossil fuels. Biofuels havethe potential to serve as a promising substitute for fossil fuels. Biodiesel can be used as analternative liquid fuel to conventional diesel fuel within the transportation industry. In thisstudy, a mixed-integer linear programming model is developed to design a biodiesel supplychain network. Eruca sativa has favorable characteristics for the production of biofuels. Theproposed model determines the locations and capacities ofproduction facilities to minimize thecost of the biodiesel supply chain network. A real case study in Iran is presented to demonstratethe applicability and efficiency of the proposed model. Finally, the computational results areassessed, and sensitivity analysis is conducted to assist decision-makers in making appropriatedecisions.
