Introducing the challenges and their solutions for urban sustainable development in poor cities

Poor cities always face many problems in achieving economic, social and environmental goals, and on the other hand, sustainable development cannot be considered only for developed cities, because an important part of the world's population lives in poor and less privileged cities. Knowing the challenges ahead in poor cities paves the way for the implementation of sustainable development, in the meantime, the use of local solutions that are provided with the maximum participation of residents can act as an accelerator in achieving the goals of sustainable development. In poor cities, residents pay the most attention to providing basic needs such as food and shelter. This means that not paying attention to this number of citizens can make global efforts to achieve sustainable development difficult. The ten identified challenges are: ۱. Limited Financial Resources, ۲. Inadequate Infrastructure, ۳. Social Inequalities and Marginalized Communities, ۴. Lack of Awareness and Education, ۵. Governance and Policy Challenges, ۶. Limited Technical Capacity, ۷. Informal Settlements and Slums, ۸. Climate Change Vulnerability, ۹. Limited Stakeholder Engagement, ۱۰. Balancing Short-Term Needs with Long-Term Sustainability And for these challenges, ۷۰ solutions have been presented, which can be useful in planning and other studies related to sustainable development.
