Optimal Portfolio Selection in Energy Service Companies (ESCos

For decades, costs of energy supply, procurement and acquisition have become one of the major problems around the world. Not only the growing rate of energydemand but also the high price of energy and environmental problems lead to a global effort for saving measures. EnergyService Companies (ESCos) play a significant role in energy efficiency (EE) projects which are mostly based on energy performance contracting (EPC).Residential, industry, commercial and public sectors are all an ESCo’s potential customers. Three major financial mechanisms are considered includinginternal financing, debt and leasing. In this paper a fuzzy Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methodology is appliedto rank the adapted financial mechanismsby ESCo.
