This article generallyproblematizes two aspects. What is the identical nature of religiousness in SriLanka? And, what is the reason behind the looming religious controversies andproblems in contemporary Sri Lanka? Based on these problems, the researcherapproaches the context to examine the stances of the religious institutions of the SriLankan community in the historical context, the nature of identical values ofaccepting all religious followers as citizens of one Sri Lankan nationality, examining the effective nature of religious problems due to relationships betweenpolitical and religious institutions, and providing the applicability of accepting theotherness of others are the main objectives of the study. The flow of this articleexplains how unorganized features of religious institutions in the society are andthe lack of people’s knowledge on religiosities and religious diversity in the SriLankan context has been observed.
