چکیده مقاله:

This review explores recent scientific literature to identify strategies for preventing psychological distress in vulnerable populations. A comprehensive search of databases such as PubMed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar was conducted using key terms including “psychological distress,” “vulnerable populations,” and “community-based interventions.”The analysis reveals that successful interventions employ a multidimensional approach combining psychoeducation, social support, and skill-building. Psychoeducation programs delivered through community centers and educational institutions enhance mental health literacy and coping strategies. Social support interventions involving peer networks and community engagement reduce psychological distress by fostering a sense of belonging and providing emotional support.Skill-building interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, improve emotional regulation and reduce distress symptoms. These interventions are often delivered through community health clinics or outreach programs. Furthermore, cultural adaptation of interventions enhances efficacy by considering the unique needs and cultural backgrounds of vulnerable populations. This review emphasizes the importance of collaboration among community organizations, healthcare providers, and policymakers. By leveraging existing resources and addressing social determinants of mental health, community-based interventions can be tailored to meet the specific needs of vulnerable populations. In conclusion, effective community-based interventions for preventing psychological distress in vulnerable populations employ a multidimensional approach. Psychoeducation, social support, and skill-building interventions demonstrate positive outcomes. Future research should focus on long-term impact, scalability, and sustainability to further enhance mental health outcomes in vulnerable populations.
