The use of wood in sustainable building architecture

Considering the lack of energy and the growth of urbanization, one should seek to create sustainable architectural works. In sustainable architecture, in addition to the common factors of building design such as beauty, fit and texture, shade and light and facilities, the design team must pay attention to long-term environmental, economic and human factors and consider its basic principles. Wood is one of the earliest building materials used by mankind and has been used since ancient times as the main building element in various parts of the building, and today it is considered an important element in the construction industry in many developed countries of the world. In this research, the understanding of the environment and harmony and compatibility with nature, legibility and ambiguity, sustainable use of wood resources have been examined, the results showed that the harmony of wood and its products with biological balance, nature, human spirit and technology, economical An atmosphere in energy consumption, reduction of air pollution, etc. makes this material compatible with sustainable architecture indicators and has the ability to be used as a sustainable building material.
