Synthesis of Novel ۱,۲,۳-Triazoles-linked Indoles Through Copper(I)-catalyzed Click Reactions

A series of novel ۱,۲,۳-triazoles-linked indole derivatives were prepared by the reaction of ۲-aryl-۱-(prop-۲-ynyl)-۱H-indole-۳-carbaldehydes with aryl azides via copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions in the presence of sodium ascorbate, as a reducing agent. The effects of catalysts, solvents, and reaction temperature were investigated. Under the optimal condition, ۱,۲,۳-triazoles linked-indoles were obtained in ۶۳–۹۲% yields.
