Chemical Composition of the Essential Oil Mentha Piperita fromShiraz

Herbs are commonly used in folk medicine, as food and beverage flavoring as fragrance incosmetic products. In this study we want to know that how many Essetial is in this plant. Thefirst leaves were wet and then they were dried in the shade (at room temperature). The essentialoils were obtained by Clevenger type apparatus and analyzed by GC/MS. The percent of majorcomponents of the oil and extract were: menthol (۳۲.۲۷), menthone (۲۸.۸۰۸) respectively.
