The Effects of Listening Trend English Songs to improve the Listening skill of Iranian EFL Students in Shiraz

Learning the English language and mastering multiple languages are crucial in today's world. English, being the global language, holds significant importance and is highly sought after by learners. This study investigates the effectiveness of incorporating popular English music in improving the listening comprehension skills of Iranian learners. The research includes ۱۵۰ intermediate-level students from a foreign language institute in Shiraz. Data collection utilized a quantitative questionnaire, with analysis performed using mean, median, and mode techniques. The results demonstrate that listening to English music not only enhances listening comprehension but also yields positive effects on other language proficiency domains.
