Examining the Role of Entrepreneurship in Economic Development

Entrepreneurship is one of the factors of economic development that can lead to the progress of society. Nowadays, the importance of entrepreneurship and its role in economic development has been much considered. Entrepreneurship increases gross domestic product, decreases the unemployment rate, increases economic growth, decreases economic inequality, and generally strengthens the economic and social situation. There is a relationship between the degree of development of countries and the development of entrepreneurship, and the development of entrepreneurship is necessary for economic development. In general and based on the GEI index, entrepreneurship is particularly important in developed countries and entrepreneurs are supported. But in developing countries, entrepreneurship does not have a good situation and the activity of entrepreneurs has limitations. Today, governments and organizations give more importance to entrepreneurship and consider the way economic prosperity depends on the development of entrepreneurship. Considering that entrepreneurship causes economic development; examining the role of entrepreneurship in economic development has been examined in this research.
