چکیده مقاله:

In the pedestrian bridge design process, the basic point is that the bridge structure must bedesigned in such a way that it has the ability to bear the loads on it. These loads includelateral loads caused by wind, live loads caused by pedestrians passing over the bridgedeck, dead loads caused by the weight of the bridge structure, loads caused bytemperature changes applied to the pedestrian bridge structure, and also loads causedby earthquakes. One of the structural systems of pedestrian bridges is the cable system. There are two ways to use cables in such bridges: ۱. Bridges with stretched cables whichare called cable-stayed bridges and ۲. Bridges with parabolic cables which are calledsuspension bridges. A Suspension bridge mainly consist of long pylons that are placedon both sides of the span (one or two pylons on each side), and two cables known as themain cables are suspended between the pylons and along the length of the span. thebridge deck is supported by a group of hanging cables on both sides which are connectedfrom one side to the main cables and from the other side to the bridge deck. In thisresearch, a suspension footbridge is designed in SAP۲۰۰۰ software and then analyzedunder applied loads. The displacement of structural members and support reactionforces have been investigated after analyzing the structure.
