چکیده مقاله:
The aim of this study was to investigate the mediational role of epistemological belief between family parenting style and achievement motivation. Correlation research was based on the structural equation modeling technique, specifically regression equations (combining path analysis and factor analysis of the second level). The statistical population consisted of all male and female from human science and engineering departments of Shiraz University. In this study, ۴۰۰ students were selected as sample size using multistage cluster sampling method. Data gathering tools, Schommer’s Quetionnarie of epistemology belief (۱۹۹۰), Edwards Personality Preference Schedule (۱۹۵۹) for achievement motivation and Revised Family Communication Patterns by Ritchie and Fitzpatrick (۱۹۹۷) for family parenting style were used. The findings indicated that conversation orientation model has a meaningful effect in the epistemology belief. Additionally, the study confirmed that the model is a positive predictor of achievement. The results of this study emphasized the necessity of the role of learners' beliefs and behaviors in relation to interactive quality with educational systems, which can provide applied concepts for improving academic achievement to counselors and learners.
