First report of Perigrapha annau Varga & Ronkay (Lep.: Noctuidae) for the fauna of Iran

In order to study the biodiversity of the family Noctuidae in Khorasan Shomali province, samplings werecarried on during 2010-2011 in different geographical regions with shrub, grass or forest vegetations from500 to 3000 meter altitudes. Specimens were then transferred to the laboratory and were spread usingspreading boards. Afterward, species were identified using both external and genital characteristics. Totally15 species belonging to 13 genera of subfamilies Xyleninae, Noctuinae, Catocalinae, Plusiinae, Hadeninaeand Heliothinae were identified. All species are firstly reported for this province, beside Perigrapha annauVarga & Ronkay, 1991 is firstly reported for the fauna of Iran.
