Investigating the Effect of Gender, Age and Self-Confidence in Learning English as a Foreign Language: A Review of Research Findings

This review investigates the impact of gender, age, and self-confidence on learning English as a foreign language by summarizing existing research findings. Gender has been found to influence motivation, learning styles, and language proficiency, while age is associated with differences in language learning capacity and cognitive abilities. Self-confidence is identified as a key factor in language learning success, with learners who feel confident in their abilities more likely to engage in language learning activities.
