A Survey on Cancer Pain Management Based on WHO and Iran ministry ofhealth and medical education Guidelines

Introduction: Introduction: pain management has a very important role in quality of life of cancer patients.Because of such a great role, we studied quality of cancer pain management.Method: This study was an analytical cross-sectional study. After obtaining permission from the ethicscommittee in university research, the required information was collected and examined by available samplingmethod from respected specialists in the fields of oncology, anesthesia and surgery. Finally, the recorded datawere statistically analyzed by SPSS software version ۲۲.Results and Conclusion: Attitude of Rasht experts towards the management of cancer pain and drugadministration according to the World Health Organization ladder and the Ministry of Health and MedicalEducation of Iran has been moderate and there is a significant relationship between the attitude of Rashtexperts and the type and degree of specialist. By training workshops to increase awareness of cancer painmanagement and prescribe drugs, in addition to educating residents, will improve management of cancer painand prescribing drugs increases Satisfaction of cancer patients.
