Marburg virus overview: focus on diagnosis and prevention procedures

Marburg virus is an enveloped, single-stranded, non-segmented, and sense [-] RNA virus belonging to the filoviridae family. This virus was discovered in ۱۹۶۷ for the first time in an outbreak. The disease caused by the Marburg virus is a rare but intense hemorrhagic fever showing us one of the deadliest pathogens in the world. Marburg virus [MARV] enters the body, replicates, spreads, and directs to a clinical syndrome of fever, myalgia, malaise, and blood coagulation disorders following the initial exposure. These signs advance to shock, multiorgan failure, and death eventually. The infection epidemiology has been seen in Central and Eastern Africa, which have plenty of recent epidemics. The virus has an animal host as a reservoir for spreading infection from a type of bat which is called the Egyptian fruit bat to the human. Some intermediary hosts, like non-human primates [NHP] and bush meat, can infect humans too.Purpose of study: Due to the experience of the emerging SARS-COVID-۱۹ and its pandemic and many problems that occurred in human life, such as transportation and visiting limitations, governmental expenditures, high loads of workflow for healthcare systems, life-threatening syndromes, and other numerous and variable costs, we decide to study on this virus that has potentials to be a pandemic like SARS-COVID-۱۹.Materials and methods: we use databases like Pubmed, ScienceDirect, and Googlescholar to extract needed information and wanted pathways of thinking and investigating from classical virology to clinical aspects, diagnosis, and treatment eventually. We refer to ۵۸ articles that are worked on and published about this tiny creature and the world affected by it.Conclusion: The MVD clinical manifestations are typically Symptomatic in a high percentage of detected cases; this typical severe appearance with additional potency to be another viral pandemic that can kill a wide range of people is a powerful reason to focus on the Marburg virus and related diseases. One of the most exciting scientific careers in virology and viral infections is investigating diagnosis and prevention. In diagnostics, we see interesting new technologies that help differentiate between real infected individuals and others. Furthermore, in the other one, prevention, we see vaccination, new vaccine discoveries with lower side effects and higher efficacy, and quarantine management planning that contain many aspectsof management in politics, public awareness, healthcare providing, risk factors computing, transmission routes, government financial supporting, effective public vaccination, diagnostic testing availability and, related meetings launching in universities, hospitals, schools and, healthcare organizations. we hope this review persuade the researchers about the importance of the viruses with the ability to create the pandemic like MARV and other potential RNA viruses
