In the present study, the ability of a pre-pilot wastewater treatment system based on electrocoagulation was evaluated for the treatment of textile industry wastewater. The mentioned electrochemical system was equipped with a Titanium anode and Stainless-Steel cathode. In electrochemical treatment methods with a sacrificial anode, such as electrocoagulation, the main focus has been paid to Iron and Aluminum anodes, and very limited studies have been carried out on other metals, including Titanium. Therefore, in this research, an attempt was made to investigate the effect of Titanium in reducing the organic load of industrial wastes. The advantages of the current system are high treatment efficiency (chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal in the range of ۷۵-۸۰%), colorless, odorless, and transparent effluent, and a negligible amount of sludge formation. It is evident from this article that further scientific and industrial studies are necessary in this regard.
