A model for intelligent traffic light with traffic flow modeling

In the present study we endeavor to solve network-path priority dependent traffic light scheduling, to this end we present a model for traffic light scheduling and solve this model by a real genetic algorithm. In order to calculate flow values in edges of the proposed model, we used the results obtained from solving traffic allocation using golden search and global search algorithms. The proposed model was applied to Sioux Falls and Tehran networks, then the results were compared with SCATS system’s results, this comparison revealed that the proposed model holds an advantage of several percent in minimization of delay at intersections.
