Background and aims: Clinical practice units, teams, and hospitals are increasingly relying onelectronic medical records to collect, store, retrieve, and analyze patient-related data. physiciansoften have to use multiple tools to gather patient status from heterogeneous databases to get acomplete health assessment. Therefore, this research was carried out by developing a dashboardbased on augmented reality for efficient visualization of data in the nephrology department ofImam Khomeini Hospital in Urmia.Method: The current research is in three stages: ۱. Determination of data elements using theDelphi method. ۲. Nephrology dashboard design and AR interface using PHP and Java. ۳. Theimplementation of the dashboard system in the nephrology department and its evaluation wasdone using the questionnaire of effectiveness, applicability and interview.Results: Data elements in ۴ classes of demographic information, historical information, clinicalinformation and discharge recommendations for kidney disease dashboard were identified as necessaryfrom the experts’ point of view. The results of the evaluation showed that the dashboardhas gained the satisfaction of users and is acceptable.Conclusion: The clinical dashboard of the nephrology department was effective in providingquick access to patient information, in accordance with the user’s needs, and maintaining comprehensivepatient information to review the treatment process. Also, the designed dashboardfacilitated the ability to personalize information to improve patient safety. Therefore, according tothe evaluation results, it is necessary to implement such systems to the needs of the target society.
