چکیده مقاله:

Purpose: Considering the ChatGPT is a valuable tool for medical education, for example, forproviding students with personalized learning experiences, this research was conducted with theaim of designing and psychometric analysis the attitude of medical science faculties towards theuse of ChatGPT in medical education.Materials and methods: The present study is methodological research conducted in two parts.Based on a literature review and qualitative content analysis, the instrument was developed. Aquantitative and qualitative content and face validity were conducted. The construct validity ofthe instrument was checked by exploratory factor analysis. ۲۵۰ qualified faculties of medicalsciences with the age range of ۲۹ to ۶۲ years were selected from Iran in ۱۴۰۲ by available samplingmethod. Written informed consent was obtained from them. In order to measure the internalconsistency of the instrument, after distributing the questionnaire among ۲۰ medical sciencefaculties, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was determined. For the reproducibility of the instrument, the test retest and correlation coefficients were used. The Intraclass Correlation Coefficients wasmeasured by distributing questionnaires among ۲۰ faculties eligible to participate in the study.Data were analyzed by SPSS software using exploratory factor analysis, Intraclass CorrelationCoefficients and Cronbach’s alpha. Results: The initial tool version had ۸۰ items. At the face and content validity stage, ۱۵ itemswere removed. Factor analysis identified eight factors by removing ۲۰ items. Interclass correlationcoefficients and Cronbach’s alpha were ۰.۸۴۲ and ۰.۸۵۴, respectively. Conclusion: The findings of this study show that the ۴۵-question instrument designed with a fivepointLikert response scale (none to very much) can be used as a valid and reliable tool to evaluatemedical science faculties regarding the use of ChatGPT in medical education.
