چکیده مقاله:

Many people all around the world are struggling with cancer, as one of the most deadly diseases, even in developed countries. A large number of cancer-induced deaths are due to the absence of an effective treatment. Common cancer treatment methods such as chemotherapy still are faced many challenges. Today, developing novel treatment approaches to overcome some of these challenges is essential for human society. The final goal of these strategies is to achieve the maximum therapeutic effects and minimum side effects. One of the most promising fields in cancer therapy is nanomedicine. Nanomedicine provides advanced biocompatible and biodegradable systems with improved drug bioavailability and high drug-loading capacity for cancer treatment. Among various nanomaterials, solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) and nanostructured lipid nanocarriers (NLCs) have represented great advantages for this application. They are appropriate carriers for pharmaceutical agents, especially anticancer drugs, and they are getting more and more popular worldwide. This paper reviews the various types of SLNs and NLCs, their production techniques, and their applications in drug delivery systems for cancer treatment
