چکیده مقاله Investigation of Temperature-Dependent Mechanical Properties of Glass/Epoxy LaminatedComposites by the Experimental Method

Composite structures are under different loadingconditions, such as thermo-mechanical loadings. Thepresent research aims to investigate the temperaturedependentmechanical behavior of glass-epoxylaminated composites. Three types of loadingconditions, including tensile, shear, and compressiveloading, were considered under temperatures in theranges of 25-150 °C. A wide range of experiments wasconducted. The load is measured by a 300 kN load cellof class 0.5, and the strain was measured using thedigital image correlation method of class 0.5. Two typesof laminated glass/epoxy composite were used, includingwoven glass cloth/epoxy resin and glass mat/epoxy resin.Different temperature-dependent mechanical propertiesof a laminated composite, including elastic modulus,Poisson’s ratio, tensile strength, and elongation atfracture, were measured. Results show that temperaturesignificantly affects the mechanical properties oflaminated glass/epoxy composites.
