چکیده مقاله:

In order to limit the use of synthetic chemical products which cause a certain resistance, acontamination of the environment, we have based ourselves on the search for the best alternatives, namely the use of plants for the valorization of plant resources and for the study of their biologicalactivities. The yield of the essential oil of the Artemisia absinthium plant; was calculated afterhydrodistilation by the Clevenger type apparatus and presents the value ۱.۵۰ ±۰.۲۷℅.- The toxicological aspect: after the treatment of the fourth stage larvae with different concentrations(LC۵۰, CL۲۵), the toxicological tests were carried out with ۱۵ repetitions each comprising ۲۵individuals, the larval mortality rate was determined after ۲۴. ۴۸, and ۷۲ hours of treatment, theresults obtained show an interesting larvicidal potential as a function of time with regard to the larvaeof Culiseta longiareolata.- The morphometric aspect: is presented by the weight and the body volume of the larvae of CulisetaL, the analysis of the data shows that the essential oil affects the weight and the volume of fourthstage larvae. It would be interesting to continue this work by evaluating the insecticidal effect againstthe adults of mosquitoes tested and also the antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant effect of theessential oil.
