Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a relatively common complication that ۲۰-۳۰% of women experience in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. The aggravated form of PMS is called premenstrual dysphoric syndrome (PMDD). PMDD aggravates more psychological symptoms and from psychiatry it can be considered similar to unipolar depression.
