چکیده مقاله:

Introduction and objective : Nanocurcumin is a nano-based approach of curcumin which is synthesized through a choice of techniques to conquer the natural curcumin’s scientific drawbacks such as hydrophobicity and low-stability. Therefore, wonderful forms of curcumin nanoformulations have been produced and surely taken into consideration, one of which is polymeric nanostructure. The importance of polymeric nanocurcumin in repression of cancerous cells motivated us to have a study on its mechanism and function.Method: In the forthcoming systematic study, the required data were collected using keywords and citing valid databases such as: Scopus PubMed, Google Scholar and ProQuest. The statistical population of the study includes all studies conducted up to ۲۰۲۲ in the field of Multifunctional polymeric nanocurcumin for cancer therapy. After reviewing the relevant Results and evaluating the data quality, a total of ۲۱ articles were analyzed. Results: There are some synthetic and natural polymeric materials that have been used to manufacture curcumin nanomaterials. One of the most achieved of them is poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA). Polymer nanoparticles based on PLGA can produce curcumin nanoparticles of approximately ۱۰۰-۲۰۰ nm size. By consisting of lactic acid and glycolic acid, this polymer can be metabolized through the body and deliver curcumin to the cells. Several studies have assessed the antineoplastic properties of curcumin-loaded PLGA nanoparticles on different cancerous cell lines: In one study, completed on cervical carcinoma, the cytotoxic effects in human KB-V۱ and KB-۳-۱ cells (HPV-۱۸) might be exhibited through the way of PLGA nanoparticles loaded with curcumin and conjugated with anti-P-glycoprotein. Moreover, these formulations brought on apoptosis by G۱/S cell cycle arrest of CaSki and SiHa cells (HPV-۱۶). Such studies suggested that nanocurcumin can decrease the levels of miRNA-۲, nuclear β-catenin, and E۶/E۷ human papillomavirus (HPV) oncoproteins in an orthotopic mouse model of cervical cancers. Conclusion: Regarding the polymeric nanocurcumin's mechanisms of action on cancers cells, including induction of cellular apoptosis for cancerous cells as well as diminution of toxicity for normal cells, the usage of this substance is scientifically reasonable. However, the way it is manufactured should be affordable.
