چکیده مقاله:
Introduction and objective: Covid-۱۹ is a contagious infectious disease that has become a global threat due to the lack of a definitive treatment for it. Therefore, timely diagnosis and quarantine of patients is necessary. The standard reference method for the diagnosis of this test disease RT-PCR is reported to be less sensitive than chest CT scan. In some patients despite the existence CT Scan Results indicate that the result of the initial RT-PCR test for COVID-۱۹ is negative due to laboratory errors or insufficient amount of virus in the sample. The aim of this review study is to evaluate the diagnostic value of chest CT scan in the diagnosis of COVID-۱۹ in patients with a negative RT-PCR test.Method: This article is a review and in its compilation, library and internet searches in the latest books, articles and relevant scientific sites have been used. In this review study, the desired information was searched from the articles indexed in the databases Scopus, Pubmed, Iranmedex, Magiran, Proquest, SID, Google Scholar, Science Direct with the key words of "Negative RT-PCR Result" and "chest CT Scan", COVID-۱۹, and ۲۰ articles were reviewed. Results: According to the Results, CT scan of the chest can be more sensitive than RT-PCR test Clearly show the parenchymal changes caused by COVID-۱۹ despite repeated negative RT-PCR test results. However, its low specificity has led to false positive results, and it is also difficult to distinguish COVID-۱۹ from other viral pneumonias based on CT scan Results alone. The main Results of the lung CT scan are GGO and Consolidation. Other CT scan Results include pleural effusions, interlobular septal thickening, vascular enlargement, and Air Bronchogram. Conclusion: CT scan of the chest has a good diagnostic function in identifying suspected clinical patients with a negative PCR test. Therefore, in patients with a negative RT-PCR test and positive lung CT scan results, the RT-PCR test should be repeated immediately in order to make a differential diagnosis between the infection of COVID-۱۹ and other lung infections.
