چکیده مقاله:

Introduction and Objective: Covid-۱۹ poses an unprecedented threat to mental health worldwide, especially to medical staff, and nurses are no exception. This pandemic may cause an increase in workload and thus cause mental problems, especially anxiety in nurses. The present study aimed to investigate the anxiety status of nurses in the face of Covid-۱۹ in Behbahan City. Methods: In this web-based cross-sectional study, the information of ۱۷۳ nurses of the Covid-۱۹ wards of the hospitals of Behbahan city was collected. In this study, demographic information and the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) were collected. Logistic regression analysis was used to examine the variables affecting anxiety. Results: The current study included ۱۷۳ frontline nurses, ۷۱.۷% of whom were men and ۲۸.۳% were women. Also, more than ۶۴% of people were married, about ۷۶% had a bachelor's degree, and ۳۸% had work experience of fewer than ۵ years (۳۸.۲%). The results of logistic regression showed that nurses with less than ۵ years of work experience were more anxious than those with more than ۱۰ years of work experience. Conclusion: According to the results of the present study, nurses with less work experience may be more exposed to anxiety caused by work pressure on the covid-۱۹ wards. Therefore, it is suggested to pay special attention to this group of people in the field of mental health.
