The Effect of Self-efficacy on Language Learning Process

There exist some non-linguistic factors, affecting language learning process. The effect of these non-linguistic variables on the language learning process is inevitable and substantial. Among the many influential factors, the effect of psychological variables is of significance. The paper scrutinized the effect of self-efficacy on the language learners’ process of language learning. The probable sources of self-efficacy along with the factors that are related to increasing self-efficacy such as controlling language learning anxiety and applying appropriate language learning strategies were also investigated.
