چکیده مقاله:

Background: Background: Occupational cancers cause a lot of life and financial costs to theindividual and society every year, so the present study was designed to determine the mostcommon occupational cancers in a review. Methods: The present study was designed as a review in ۲۰۲۲. ۴ Persian and Latin databasesincluding SID, Google Scholar, PubMed and Scopus were selected to search for articles. Thekeywords 'cancer', 'neoplasm', 'tumor' and 'occupational' were searched using operators AND-OR.Initially, ۱۲۵۰ articles were retrieved, and after screening the abstracts, ۱۱ articles were reviewed. Results: A variety of studies have shown that the most common occupational cancers include lungcancer, non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer, thyroid cancer, mesothelioma and bladdercancer. Working in the insulation, textile, stone cutting, mining, glassmaking, transportation, andmetalworking industries can cause lung cancer. Metalworking, agriculture, construction and fuelindustries (extraction and processing of various fuels) can expose people to non-melanoma skincancer. Shift jobs such as flight attendants are at risk for breast cancer. The insulation and textileindustries expose people to mesothelioma cancer due to the presence of asbestos. Workers in themetalworking, transportation, construction and fuel industries, as well as painters and hairdressers, are at risk for bladder cancer. Conclusion: Various studies have shown that the most common occupational cancers include lungcancer, non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer, mesothelioma and bladder cancer. The level ofexposure of personnel working in these industries to carcinogens is significant, so reducing theexposure of people to these carcinogens seems important and necessary. Also, teaching employeessafe work instructions, safety and warning signs, following standards, and adhering to exposurelimits are effective in reducing the risk of occupational cancers.
