Construction technology effects on sustainabledevelopment dimensions and factors

Sustainable development is an unattainable but programmable goal but necessary andsignificant for all countries and governments. Using the dimensions and factors ofsustainability is necessary to create a better framework and make better policies,priorities, and budgets. Construction is one of the essential industries which can have asignificant influence on moving toward sustainability and eventually sustainable design.In this research sustainable development, dimensions, and factors are the first and mainconcept and construction technology was selected as the second main concept. Thisstudy researched and represented the effect of using construction technology onsustainable dimensions and factors. The research method discussed and evaluated thementioned concepts quantitative and descriptive based on documentary and librarysources.The main goal and perspective of this study are based on finding the advantages anddisadvantages of using construction technology to achieve sustainable development. Also,according to the research discussion, in some items, construction technology has bothpositive and negative effects on the same factor.Results demonstrate that however, construction technology has positive and negativeeffects on social and economic factors of sustainable development, but it doesn’t haveany disadvantage or negative effect on environmental dimension factors. Moreover,putting budget, and human resources, and making government policies can improveconstruction technologies and also decrease the negative points of this concept onsustainable dimensions and factors.
