چکیده مقاله:

This paper presents finite element method for the simulation of aluminum foundry process. A continuum transition from the initial fluid-like to the final solid- like behavior of the part is modeled. There are superior advantages such as rapid production; precision and good surface quality in the products produced by permanent die method. On the other hand, due to the rapid filling of the die and high cooling rate, the process generally leads to the formation of a wide variety of defects, such as porosity and incomplete filling, formation of air jams, macro and micro-pores which may occur during the gravity casting have a negative effect on the product quality and production process. It is important to determine the defects that may occur before the mold production against the formation of these errors, in terms of production cost and quality. Feeding and venting condition on the fluid flow and solidification of ۶۰۶۱ aluminum alloy with permanent mold casting were investigated by the ProCast software and reflected the mold design.
