چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Air pollution causes many diseases and almost ۹% of the world's deaths are dueto air pollution. Air pollution, especially PM۲.۵, causes age-related cardiovascular disease. Many large cities that have experienced severe air pollution (PM۲.۵, NO۲) have experiencedhigh rates of coronavirus outbreaks. Numerous epidemiological, biomedical and clinicalstudies show that ambient particulate matter (PM) in air pollution is strongly associated withan increase in cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrhythmias, ischemic stroke, vascular dysfunction, hypertension High and atherosclerosis are associated.Among particulate matter, PM۲.۵ is the most important cause of cardiovascular disease.Search Method: In this review study, the keywords PM۲.۵, cardiovascular diseases andCovid-۱۹ were searched and studied in articles from ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۰۲۲published by Pubmed,Google scholar and Scopus, Science direct were analyzed. Results: Studies show that PM۲.۵, along with other pollutants, can cause ۲۵, ۲۹ and ۴۳% ofall deaths from heart disease, cancer and lung disease. For every ۱۰ micrograms per cubic meterof increase in PM۱۰ and PM۲.۵, the risk of COVID-۱۹ increases by ۵ and ۶ %, respectively. The Environmental Protection Agency is concerned about the link between PM۲.۵ andcardiovascular disease because PM۲.۵ is ten times higher than US national air quality standardsin developing countries. For every ۵-۶ grams per cubic meter of PM۲.۵, the risk of Covid-۱۹increases and cardiovascular disease increases from ۰.۵-۱.۵%.Conclusion:According to research in studies, PM۲.۵ and Covid-۱۹ affect cardiovasculardisease. Studies show that long-term exposure to air pollution increases cardiovascular diseasemortality by ۶۹ percent and respiratory disease by ۲۸ percent. It is suggested that more researchbe done to investigate the effect of PM۲.۵ and Covid-۱۹ on cardiovascular disease.
