The role of drainage in the direction of sustainable urban development and flood control

With the expansion of population and subsequent development of cities, the transformation of barren areas into urban areas on the one hand and climate change on the other, the possibility of water infiltration into the ground is greatly reduced. As a result, runoff enters streams and waterways with high volume and speed, and leads to intensification of water erosion power and increase of loads.In this regard, the present study uses a descriptive-analytical method to study drainage solutions in urban spaces and to study successful global experiences in this field to be more fully aware of the answers and control urban runoff to revitalize urban areas.The results of this essay are to present strategies and policies to guide the paths and streams with the correct design. It gave a pleasant and beautiful look and turned these spaces into a green corridor. In fact, with proper drainage, in addition to controlling floods and preventing damage caused by it, by improving soil conditions and increasing water in critical water conditions, an essential and practical step can be taken to boost sustainable development in agriculture and to preserve the environment. The visual diversity and stability of the city helped.
