چکیده مقاله:

There are numerous mechanical tests and testing instruments to determine the mechanical properties of materials and different polymer composites.In this paper, the experiments of tensile and flexural (three-point bending) tests were simulated for fiberglass, epoxy matrix, and composite.Fiberglass with a high young modulus than epoxy and composite has the minimum elongation. The maximum strain of fiberglass is about ۰.۰۰۰۵, So this material can be named as brittle. Epoxy matrix with the lowest young modulus has a strain of about ۰.۰۱. Composite material (with ۱۰% fiberglass and ۹۰% epoxy matrix and other) has ۰.۰۰۳ strain. So The amount of elongation of the composite is between the epoxy matrix and fiberglass.In the three-point bending test, the highest bending is for epoxy matrix and the lowest is for fiberglass. So adding fiberglass to the epoxy matrix increases the strength of the composite material, but some of its elongations are reduced due to stretching.
