People's participation in alternative development patterns in border areas; The strategies adopted in the popular participatory development of the border villages of Kurdistan province

This Taking advantage of the capacities and funds of rural communities with the aim of participating in the process of development measures that are carried out with the focus of the people and the government, while laying the foundation and operationalizing the people-oriented approach of bottom-up development; It will overcome the unevenness and obstacles and will have a good performance in realizing the upcoming goals. People's participation in development will lead to the reduction of different costs caused by participation and traditional resistance to changes and its side effects. This research, with the method of participatory development approach and using the Rural Rapid Appraisal method, has presented solutions to promote development in the border villages of Kurdistan province. Results show that Consultation with experts and Facilitators and Promotion of social capital and Use of Indigenous Knowledge and participation in border markets will promote the participation of villagers in the development of villages.
