چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Labor pain is one of the most intense pains that most women experience.The use of painkillers to reduce labor pain is used less due to maternal and newborn complications,and attention to non-drug methods and complementary medicine is increasing. The purpose of thisstudy is to investigate the use of non-pharmacological methods in reducing pain and makingpregnancy and childbirth pleasant. Methods: In this study, ۵۰ articles published from ۲۰۱۰ to ۲۰۲۲were used in SID, MagIran, IranMedex, Google ScholarT, ScienceDirect, Scopus, PubMeddatabases. Result: The use of non-pharmacological methods such as mother's position, massage,birth ball, water birth, acupressure, exercise, heat, cold, reflexology, relaxation, yoga, Qurantherapy, hypnosis, mental imagery, aromatherapy and music improve self-efficacy. Mother,reduction of pain and anxiety, acceleration of childbirth, descent and rotation of the fetal head,reduction of the intensity and duration of pain, reduction of the need for oxytocin and episiotomy,reduction of cesarean section, improvement of the baby's Apgar score, earlier initiation ofbreastfeeding, mothers' satisfaction with childbirth Naturally, increasing the mother's mentalhealth and mother's attachment to the fetus, improving the mother's vital signs and the baby's Apgarscore. The presence of the spouse and partner in childbirth preparation classes, massage by thespouse, and breathing technique reduces the level of fear and anxiety and improves maritaladjustment, choosing natural childbirth, increasing rhythmic contractions, shortening the stages oflabor and improving the baby's Apgar score, early initiation of breastfeeding. mother, reducingcesarean and instrumental delivery and increasing mother's satisfaction and psychological andphysical support and training of midwives to overcome fear, anxiety and increase self-efficacy,reducing pain intensity and length of labor stages, reducing the use of oxytocin, skin-to-skincontact, breastfeeding A cesarean section is performed in the first hour of birth and reduction.Discussion & Conclusion: Non-pharmacological methods of pain relief during pregnancy andchildbirth, despite having no side effects on the mother and the fetus and not interfering with thecourse of labor, make the outcomes pleasant and improve for the mother and the fetus
