The effect of Covid-۱۹ infection on skin and nails

The purpose of this research is investigating the effect of Covid-۱۹ infection on skin and nails,and it intends to examine the effects of Covid-۱۹ infection on skin and nails, as well as thedamage caused by Covid-۱۹ infection on it. The current research is an applied research anddescriptive-survey in terms of method. The statistical population of this research is ۱۱۰ peoplewho referred to a skin and nail clinic in Tehran in the second quarter of ۲۰۲۲ in connection withskin and nail problems, and after the pandemic, they had a history of at least one episode ofCovid-۱۹ infection. The sample size is ۸۶ people and the sampling method is also available. Inthis research, the required data was collected using an ۱۸-question questionnaire. The validity ofthe questionnaires was confirmed by ۳ doctors and Cronbach's alpha method was used todetermine the reliability, and its value was ./۸۰۳. Next, k-s test and Pearson's correlation testwere used and the data were analyzed with spss software. The results showed that all thehypotheses of the research were confirmed, and therefore there is a significant relationshipbetween the Covid-۱۹ virus and the formation of small swellings on the skin, the presence ofskin lesions, skin discoloration and the presence of red moles.
