چکیده مقاله:

The welding joints due to different reasons such prolonged time, welding defects and etc.do not have the necessary efficiency and need to be repaired. Today, the repair weldingprocess is very popular in various industries, which can play a significant role inreducing costs. The repair welding process, due to the repeated heat input to the joint, causes the microstructural changes in different weld areas and the mechanical propertiesofthe weld. In this research, the weld metal obtained from the E۶۰۱۳ electrode subjectedto microstructural and mechanical investigations in unrepaired, once-repaired and twicerepaired conditions. The obtained results showed that the tensile strength of the weldedsample decreases from ۵۴۴.۲Mpa to ۴۴۱.۲MPa with twice repairing welding. Also, withthe increase in the number of repairing, the impact strength of welded specimensdecreased that results in brittleness of the twice repaired specimens. Microstructuralinvestigations revealed the coarsening ofgrains in different weld areas.
