چکیده مقاله:
This research provides a method for evaluating the urban landscape so that the popularity of streetscapes can be measured based on quantitative criteria. The research method is based on photographs that are prepared from different streetscapes and with different characteristics in terms of complexity. The values related to the complexity of the images are obtained through MATLAB software. Software output shows the complexity of images in four levels. On the other hand, based on a survey of citizens, their opinions about the interesting streetscapes were measured to determine how the relationship between entropy and attractiveness of images change. The results show that citizens like the second level of complexity and then the first level of complexity, the third level of complexity and the fourth level of complexity, respectively.
