چکیده مقاله:
Urban design as an interdisciplinary science plays an important role in improving the quality and beautification of human urban environments. Of course, in this area, the role of urban planning and management is also worth considering; And any new thinking and technology can be instrumental in achieving new urban development. In the mid-۱۸۰۰s, New York City officials decided to build a ۱۳-mile-long railroad in New York City. In this regard, the High Line project was built in ۱۹۳۴. Due to the fact that the mentioned tissue was located on the edge of a railway, therefore, it was in an unfavorable economic situation and the weak sections of the society settled in it. The texture was historically a modern texture; But due to lack of economic activity, its physical appearance was deteriorating. The main goal of this project was to create vitality in an abandoned space. The type of improvement interventions performed in this tissue was the injection of new uses into spaces that were physically healthy. Attention to the existing climate and natural bed, vitality in the space by planting plants, creating a space for movement and pause with the approach of paying attention to pedestrians, night security with proper lighting, variety of activities along the route and familiarity of the space Results of this design project.
