The need to produce new fuels is somehow intertwined with the survival of nuclear power plants. The occurrence of nuclear accidents around the world raises the question of whether these plants are superior enough to other types of energy-producing power plants for governments to accept the risk of such accidents.? The answer to this question largely depends on the cost of energy production in each type of power plant. Perhaps a comparison of the energy released from breaking the intermolecular bond (۲ to ۴ electrovolts) with the energy released per fission (۲۰۰ MeV) indicates a significant advantage of nuclear fuel. But improving energy production for a certain amount of nuclear fuel has always been considered. At the international level, extensive efforts have been made to find new fuels for use in nuclear reactors. This can be deduced from the large number of articles published in this field in recent years. The purpose of these studies is to invistigate conventional and sintered annular fuel designs in VVER ۱۰۰۰ reactor to increase fission power in such a way that the fuel is designed to extract a certain amount of energy from that amount compared to previous fuels. At the same time, the new fuels have to overcome the disadvantages of the previous types.
