چکیده مقاله:

Organic and inorganic pigments are widely used in the synthetic leather industry. However, limitedresearch works have been conducted on the effect of pigments on the mechanical properties of synthetic leather.Therefore, the present research studied the influence of various percentages of inorganic and organic pigment in PVCmatrix. The results show that the presence of pigment improves the mechanical properties of synthetic leather.According to the results, the optimal amount of organic pigment is ۱ Phr, which increases the elastic modulus andultimate tensile strength by ۸% and ۹%, respectively, with no significant change in rupture strains. It has been foundthat ۱.۵ Phr of inorganic pigment is the optimal amount that increases elastic modulus, rupture strain, and ultimatetensile strength by ۶%, ۵%, and ۵%, respectively. Observation of these results indicates a better van der Waalsinteraction between organic pigments and the PVC.
